The international kayak angling competition will be held on Sunday and Monday in the waters around Fenghuang Island in Shengzhong Lake. The total prize is $40,000, with a top prize of $10,000 for the champion.
Huang Zhiquan, mayor of Nanchong, said the city has been hosting the event to build friendships and promote exchanges. "This competition is more than a contest — it's a platform for friendship, joy, and shared growth," he added.
