China, Russia to deepen practical cooperation in humanities cooperation
        BEIJING -- Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova co-chaired the 26th session of the China-Russia Committee on Humanities Cooperation in Beijing on Saturday, pledging to deepen practical cooperation in various fields of humanities.
Shen, also the Chinese chairperson of the China-Russia Committee on Humanities Cooperation, said that since the 25th session last year, both sides have efficiently implemented the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepened humanities cooperation, and organized a series of thematic activities that resonated emotionally with the peoples of the two countries.
Various activities under the framework of the China-Russia Year of Culture were brilliant and achieved complete success, pushing humanities cooperation to a new height, Shen said, adding that the year 2026 marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, and the next five years will provide more new opportunities for China-Russia humanities cooperation.
Shen called on the two sides to deepen practical cooperation in various fields of humanities, comprehensively improve the effectiveness of cooperation, and make new contributions to further promoting the development of China-Russia bilateral relations and lasting friendship between the two countries.
Golikova spoke highly of the positive achievements made by the Russia-China humanities cooperation mechanism, stating that Russia is willing to work together with China to promote practical cooperation and jointly depict a beautiful new picture of Russia-China humanities cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides witnessed the signing of cooperation documents in relevant fields.
