Swiss watchmakers celebrate birthday with Shanghai exhibition

Swiss luxury watch brand Vacheron Constantin is launching the Chinese mainland debut of its public exhibition retracing a 270-year quest for watchmaking in Shanghai, which will start on July 7 and last through July 20. [Photo provided to China Daily]

The exhibition consists of seven immersive chapters, covering its history since 1755, heritage, artistic crafts, its openness to global cultures, and its collaboration with the Louvre in safeguarding civilized heritage.

The Shanghai exhibition, which is being held in Zhangyuan in the city's Jing'an district, will run through July 20.
