China, Russia navies to conduct exercises soon

The navies of China and Russia will soon conduct maritime operations in the western and northern areas of the Pacific Ocean, China's Ministry of National Defense said on Wednesday.
The announcement was made by the ministry on its official website, and added that the opeartion is part of the annual military cooperation plan between the two countries.
This operation is not directed against any third party, nor is it related to the current international or regional situation, the ministry added.
