New international school rising in Foshan

A school in Foshan, Guangdong province that will offer high-quality international education for students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as for expatriates, will open in September, according to local authorities.
Construction of the school, the first of its kind in Foshan, will be completed in April. A roof-sealing ceremony was held on Sunday.
Affiliated with Jinan University in Guangzhou, the school — which is located in Foshan's Dali township — was the third of its kind in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, following the first in Guangzhou and the second in Dongguan. Those opened in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
"Establishment of the school will contribute to exchanges and cooperation between Foshan, Hong Kong and Macao in educational, economic and trade integration and development," said Cen Zhuoxiong, Party chief of Dali.
The school will be an important educational and livelihood project, providing diverse international education services for people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as for foreigners living in Foshan, according to Hong An, vice-president of Jinan University.
"Opening the school will help attract more talented people from home and abroad to live in Foshan and create businesses," she said.
