Chongqing Dongyuan Xinxin Park Shopping Mall in Liangjiang New Area has carried out cooperation with Ant Financial to construct Chongqing's first mobile payment shopping mall, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee.

Ant Financial, Alibaba's financial affiliate, operates the popular Alipay payment system.

According to a senior from Dongyuan Xinxin, at the end of this month, Alibaba Group's face recognition system will be displayed in the shopping mall. Customers will have a chance to experience the high tech face recognition system.

Alipay payment system is a domestic online payment platform with the largest market share in China. Statistics show that, the platform currently has more than 270 million active users. An increasing number of customers tend to make the offline retail payment with Alipay. Compared with the cash payment, paying via Alipay is more convenient and the payment process takes only three seconds.

"Alipay helps to save the time it would take to give change and we don't need to worry about receiving counterfeit money anymore," said a shop owner in Dongyuan Xinxin Shopping Mall. The shop owner also pointed out that the Alipay payment platform is welcomed by young people.
