China Eastern Airlines is scheduled to launch a new non-stop flight route from Nanjing, Eastern China's Jiangsu province, to Los Angeles of the US starting from Jun 30, the first non-stop flight route from Jiangsu province of China to the American continent.

The Chengdu - Nanjing - Los Angeles flights with a total flight time of about 15 hours will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Return flights will leave on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The seats for the flights will be allocated for passengers departing from Chengdu and Nanjing with those from Nanjing having a higher priority, according to a staff member at the China Eastern Airlines' Jiangsu office .
