Pudong airport initiates bus booking service
A ticket-booking service of both the airline and the corresponding shuttle bus was initiated in Pudong International Airport by China Eastern Airline, Shanghai International Airport Co and Shanghai Airport Authority on August 16.
The airport shuttle bus schedule has been input into the civil flight booking system. Customers can book certain round-trip long-distance shuttle buses when they book China Eastern flights through the China Eastern Airlines hotline 95530 or any global ticket selling websites of China Eastern Airlines. The price of the through traffic service is lower than the total air ticket and bus ticket combined. Passengers can take the bus to any long-distance passenger stations on the designated date with valid ID.
The first batch of cities to open the shuttle bus service includes Kunshan, Suzhou and Wuxi in Jiangsu province. It is expected that Jiaxing and Hangzhou in Zhejiang province will offer the service in late September. Yiwu, Qingtian in Zhejiang, and Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu will join by the end of the year. The service aims to gradually cover the major passenger cities in the Yangtze River Delta.
According to statistics, the airline network in Pudong International Airport has begun to take shape, covering 81 domestic and 81 international airports with a daily passenger capacity of 130,000.
