The 22nd Qingdao International Beer Festival

A total of 3.96 million visitors from home and abroad attended the 22nd Qingdao International Beer Festival, which was held in Qingdao between August 17 and September 1, 2012.
The visitors from overseas – with a majority hailing from Germany, Norway, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and South Korea - accounted for 42.9 percent of?all foreign visitors.
The participants included 25 renowned brewers from 16 countries, including France’s Brasseries Kronenbourg – the manufacturer of Kronenbourg 1664 - and a total of 1180 tons of beer was consumed during the event.
The festival involved a wide variety of activities such as beer tasting, music and dance performances and a drinking contest, in addition to an exhibition at the Beer Festival Museum.
The festival aimed to offer an extraordinary experience for beer lovers and connoisseurs – and also to give businesses the opportunity for deal making and networking.
