The event industry introduction and brand promotion conference, organized by the Kunming event bureau, was held on Jan 15 to promote foreign cooperation in Yunnan's event industry, chinadaily.com.cn reported.

Six event organizers of Kunming's key events, including the Kunming pan-Asia Stone Exhibition, attended the conference and introduced their exhibition areas, as well as the progress of their event projects. The China pan-Asia International Agriculture Exhibition has been successfully held on ten occasions; its organizer also attended the promotion conference this year.

According to the Kunming agriculture bureau’s vice director, the agriculture exhibition will emphasize its focus on e-commerce platform.

"We are now looking for substantial enterprises to cooperatively organize the agriculture exhibition and we hope that Kunming's local exhibitions will grow up to international exhibitions," said the vice director of Kunming agriculture bureau.

The event projects from the promotion conference are primarily related to Kunming's local resource advantages and industry advantages. The promotion conference is seen as a good start by some to help Kunming's local events to go abroad. It will also help to improve the quality of local events and promote the development of Kunming's event industry.
