Channel for cooperation, tunnel for integration

The seventh Cross-Straits Information Technology Standard Forum opened in Fuzhou on Oct. 24th, attracting quite a number of experts and corporate representatives in the field of IT from across the Straits.

Sponsored jointly by the China Electronics Standardization Association, China Communications Standards Association and Sinocon Industrial Standards Foundation, the forum concentrated on topics such as AVS, removal storage, TD-SCDMA and LCD (LCOS) technology. After that, representatives held talks over how to fix industry standards and the application of industrialization.

Zheng Lizhong, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Taiwan Office, figured the cooperation on Information Technology across the Straits really did count and it has achieved a lot since 2005. The forum featured new forms and issues aiming to promote cooperation on information technology and the industry’s competitiveness in the international market.

Xi Guohua, deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, commented in his speech that policy guidance, enforcement of the expansion of domestic demand, the strategy of broadband, integration of industrialization and information and strengthening the opening-up all will be offered politically and materially by the Central Government to fasten the development of IT industry in China.
