Shanxi’s brands promotion tour along the Silk Road will come to the final stop this year, Italy, on Oct 27.

The province will hold the promotion in two cities: Torino and Milan. A press conference for the Italian tour was held on Oct 12.

Twenty-eight Shanxi enterprises will attend, including large state-owned enterprises such as Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group and other industry leaders. Over 400 products of nine categories from traditional specialties to catered products for Italian market are ready for the tour.

The event will be officially launched in the China Pavilion of the 2015 Milan Expo on Oct 27, in tandem with the pavilion’s Shanxi Day. Goods exhibitions will be organized in Torino and Milan.

The province will also organize business matchmaking and visits, with focuses on bio-medicine, chemicals, agriculture and high-tech. In order to give Italian investors close knowledge of Shanxi’s investment environment, such as policies and advantageous industries, the province will host an investment promotion conference in Torino.

Shanxi had three promotion tours this year, including Hungary, Kyrghyzstan and Russia, all of which were successful.
