Xianggeli residential community was the first smart housing estate in Xuhang. It managed to promote public services in terms of health care and pensions and management efficiency by capitalizing on information resources and technologies, greatly increasing convenience for residents.

Xianggeli installed two "smart housing estate" touch screens in the front and in the back of the community, providing residents latest information?on policies, regulations, news, notifications and legal advice. They can also take part in the community's activities or give feedback on problems as long as they input information on the screens.

Another smart housing estate, Qiyue, improved its management by applying big data and set up an information base, a management platform and a platform of public service information.

A LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) was erected in Qiyue's reception hall where people can get information about their urban neighborhood committee, handy public services, and demographic data. The detailed data of residents helps the managers provide better services and pay special attention to the elderly living alone or suffering from serious illnesses.
