North China to build three high-speed rail lines

Three lines, Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed rail line, Hohhot-Zhangjiakou railway passenger dedicated line and Zhangjiakou-Datong intercity railway line, are being implemented to form a rapid transport network in North China.

Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed rail line, with an overall length of 174 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, will be open for service at the end of 2019.

Hohhot-Zhangjiakou railway passenger dedicated line, with an overall length of 286.8 km with a design speed of 250 km per hour, will open in 2018.

Zhangjiakou-Datong intercity railway, from Datong in Shanxi province to Huai’an in Zhangjiakou with a design speed of 250 km per hour, will be open for service in 2019.

High-speed train debuts in Inner Mongolia

A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.
