On May 13,students of the Workshop on Concessional Loan to Developing Countries, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China, visited the Beijing headquarters of CGGC International.
The 21-day workshop was attended by 27 commerce officials from a dozen of countries including Pakistan,Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Liberia. During the Workshop, students learned carefully about the relevant policies, basic situation, procedures and qualifications for applying Chinese government's concessional loan, and paid visits to selected companies. They were warmly received by CGGC International, the enterprise representative designated by the Ministry of Commerce.
Head of CGGC International introduced the polices and procedures of Chinese government's concessional loan to developing countries, and held extensive discussions with students on the overseas development of CGGC and the progress of projects under construction.
Students expressed their admiration for CGGC's achievements, for instance, the Three Gorges Project, which was the largest hydropower project in the world and in which CGGC acted as the main contractor, and several large-scale infrastructure projects across the world. They also expressed their wish that CGGC would be more deeply involved in the infrastructure development of their respective countries.
