With the Shanghai-Nanjing inter-city railway put into operation on July 1, Huaqiao Station is ready to offer the best possible service to passengers.
Huaqiao Station is only 17 minutes away by train from Hongqiao Station, the terminal of this inter-city railway in Shanghai and many bus stops have been set around the station. Passengers can take bus No. 222 to Huaqiao Park, and No. 123 to the North Branch of Kunshan Passenger Station.
The final running plan is still not determined and only 2 regular train runs are available for Huaqiao Station. Management of the railway said they would increase runs in crowded stations after a survey on the population along the railway.
For Huaqiao Station, local management is working for more runs for it. They hope Huaqiao Station will serve as a catalyst for local economic growth and the improvement of living standards.
