The finals for the Pingtan Sand Sculpture Festival Beauty Contest was held on the night of August 18.

The final round in this year's Pingtan Sand Sculpture Festival Beauty Contest was held on the night of August 18. Shi Tiantian, contestant six, won the championship with her excellent performances.

The tourism beauty contest was hosted by the Fujian Brand Culture Development Research Association and organized by the Fuzhou Sunshine Beauty Culture & Communication Co Ltd.

First-round auditions began in July and attracted 200 contestants. After photo shoots and bikini catwalk shows, a total of 33 contestants qualified for the finals.

The final round included a talent show and swimsuit and evening dress competition. Dong Liyun and Cheng Liyan won second- and third-place prizes, respectively.

Other awards were given out to Miss Photogenic, Miss Popular (according to an online poll), Miss Energetic, Miss Figure and Miss Potential.

The winners will proceed to the finals of the 2012 Miss International Tourism Beauty Contest to be held this November in Beijing.
