As her name suggests, Yao Jinnan, a budding Chinese gymnast, is no stranger to triumphs and gold medals.

The 19-year-old Fuzhou native had a stellar performance at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, on Wednesday, winning the final in the women's uneven bars and piling up her gold medal number to three in all at the games.

Yao was perfect throughout the event, showcasing a flurry of difficult combo moves without committing any turnovers. The final score of 15.446 points ensured an easy win over her teammate Huang Huidan, who had 14.375 points and claimed the silver medal.

As Chen Ying, a color commentator with China Central Television, noted, Yao performed so well that she could even win at the world championships and Olympics with those spectacular moves.

Jin, the first part of Yao's given name, means gold in Chinese. That summed up her amazing run at the top sports meeting in Asia, winning three gold medals in three events.

It started with a team gold in the women's gymnastics finals on Sept 22. The Chinese ladies were unstoppable, scoring 229.300 points, winning by a margin of around 15 points over their Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Japanese counterparts.

Yao then fetched her second gold in the women's all-around gymnastics. She won three of four programs at the event, and eventually claimed gold with a total of 57.9 points.
