On August 25th and 26th, a workshop “SME Policies in China and Korea: Current Issue and Future Direction” was convened in Beijing. The workshop was jointly organized by the International Cooperation Department of DRC and Korea Development Institute (KDI). Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director General of International Cooperation Department of DRC chaired the opening session. Delegates from Korea consist of the research fellows of KDI, representatives from relevant universities and associations. On the Chinese side, participants from DRC’s Enterprise Research Institute, Research Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Research Department of Social Development, Research Institute of Finance, along with the experts from related ministries and associations, interacted with their Korean counterparts on the topics like SME financial policies, development of service sector, innovation and entrepreneurship and so forth. Participants from both countries presented the experiences, from the perspective of comparative study, on the SME-related policies in China, Korea and other advanced countries.
