第二天碰到Joe，問(wèn)我有沒(méi)有去，我把實(shí)情跟他解釋。他聽(tīng)完后說(shuō)： "No skin off my nose." 我不懂，只好怔怔地望著他，心想，他大概以為我是"葉公好龍"吧。
回家查了俚語(yǔ)詞典，才知道skin off one's nose是與某人有關(guān)的意思。Joe是在說(shuō)我去不去其實(shí)"不關(guān)他的事"，他只是順便問(wèn)一下罷了。
