Crack down on online TV piracy

Regulators should focus on banning the commercial spread of US dramas online, says an article in Oriental Morning Post. Following is an excerpt:

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television recently ruled that film and television works shouldn't be communicated online without certain types of certification. This has thrown cold water on those fans of US TV dramas 24 and Prison Break.

The serial dramas from the US mostly haven't got the permission of their copyright owners and have been illegally uploaded into cyberspace by fans in China with homemade Chinese subtitles.
