During the war of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945), compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese organized more than 900 anti-Japanese groups, which supported the war in various ways. On August 12, 1937, the Macao Four Community Relief Service Group (whose membership included those from the academic, music, sports and drama sectors) was set up. The sixth and seventh teams which were sent by the group to help the mainland during the war pose for a photo before they set off. During the war of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945), the Taiwan Volunteers and the Taiwan Youth Club were established in Jinhua, Zhejiang province.
