Yantai is currently home to standardized demonstration bases of more than 4,300,000 mu in size, including more than 1,000,000 mu of green and organic agricultural productions bases.

Eight cities and counties, including Laiyang, Longkou and Penglai, were declared state-level agricultural standardized demonstration areas and green food demonstration areas.
