Saleswoman fends off gun-wielding bandit

A saleswoman at a jewelry store successfully fought off a gun-wielding burglar in Jingzhou, Hubei province, on Sunday.

Hu Min, 37, a saleswoman in the gold shop, resisted the man who tried to steal a necklace. After he tried to leave, she held on to him even though he was pointing the gun at her.

After the man broke loose and rushed out, the woman followed him and dragged him off his motorcycle. Security guards then grabbed him.

The woman suffered a head injury and was being treated at a hospital. She said she fought the man because she thought the weapon was a toy gun.
