The Museum of Luoyang Eastern Zhou Royal Horse and Chariot Pits is a special museum displaying the giant horse and chariot sacrificial pits of Eastern Zhou Dynasty.

The museum, covering 1,700 square meters of land, is divided into two sections.

The  No.1 section consists of four parts. The first part is a map which shows the location of the five ancient capitals. The second is an introduction to the Eastern Zhou Royal City. The third is related to the exploration and discoveries of the king's tomb. The fourth displays some precious relics of Eastern Zhou Dynasty.

No.2 section is the exhibition of the giant horse and chariot sacrificial pits of Eastern Zhou Dynasty. They include two of the 17 carriage and horse sacrificial pits excavated from 2002 to 2003. The one on the north is 42.6 meters long and 4 meters wide.

All carriages were arranged in double columns which seemingly presented a gorgeous view of the royal family's journey. And, what attracts people's attention is the Tianzijialiu chariot, which explains the saying that "the king’s carriage is pulled by six horses."

With its excellent cultural relics exhibition and marvelous scene, the museum shows the long history and prosperous culture as the capital in Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
