China Everbright Ltd. said its mainland incorporated associated unit, Everbright Securities Co. Ltd., is planning to list A shares in the mainland in an initial public offering.

The Hong Kong financial services group said in a statement published on Monday that the unit is exploring with the China Securities Regulatory Commission a reinstatement of its 2004 accounts in order to meet the listing criteria of three consecutive years of profit.

China Everbright holds 39.31 percent of Everbright Securities. It gave no further listing details. (US$1=HK$7.8)
