China economic figures vote launched

Voting of the 2009 CCTV China Economic Annual Figures, also known as the Oscar of the Chinese economy sphere and the indicator of Chinese economic development, was officially launched in Beijing on Tuesday.

Given the backdrop of the global financial crisis and the economic structure adjustment, candidates will be judged on their creativity, impetus, foresight and liabilities this year, according to a representative from China Central Television, which organized the event.

To boost the event's influence in the Chinese economic field, four famous business institutes in China were also invited to take business cases from the winners' business modes and experiences and write about them.

The institutes are the Guanghua School of Management Peking University, Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, China Europe Business International School and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.

The event, started in 2000, has become one of the most professional economic activities in China.
