Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong

Gold price rose HK$20 to open at HK$9,233 per tael here on Monday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to $1,001.08 a troy ounce, up $2.23 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.742.
