Zhenhua got US$200 mln order

Zhenhua Port Machinery, a major Chinese maker and exporter of container cranes and other port equipment, said yesterday it had secured a US$200 million order from Dubai Ports World.

The order for 15 container cranes and other equipment is scheduled for delivery in 2008 and 2009, Shanghai-based Zhenhua said in a statement.

The company is gaining more business overseas as it improves the quality of its products. In April, Zhenhua said it had received a $250 million order from Denmark-based shipping company A.P. Moeller-Maersk Group.

In February, Zhenhua said it signed a $200 million contract to supply port equipment to South Korea's Hanjin Shipping Co Ltd.
