Gold price closes higher in Hong Kong -- May 11

HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong moved up HK$156 to close at HK$14,156 per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to $1,528.93 a troy ounce, up $16.46 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.772.
