US chipmaker commits to 'deeper' investments in China

Lisa Su, chair and chief executive officer of the US semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices, said on Wednesday that the chipmaker is committed to deepening its investments in China.
Su made the comments in a meeting with Li Lecheng, China's minister of industry and information technology, in Beijing.
She also thanked the ministry for its support of AMD's development in China, affirming the company's "commitment to deepening its investments in the country and strengthening cooperation to jointly promote industrial innovation and development".
Li said China would offer greater cooperation opportunities to foreign enterprises including AMD. He also expressed hope that AMD would continue deepening its engagement in the Chinese market.
