Thousands of tundra swans grace Hunan's Donggu Lake for the winter

Since 2019, more than 5,000 tundra swans, along with large numbers of white cranes, gray cranes, and other birds, have wintered in the area each year. The tundra swans are a nationally protected species in China, known for their high requirements for water quality and environment. They arrive at the lake every November.
