Premier Li to meet Russian Prime Minister Mishustin to discuss bilateral cooperation
At the invitation of Premier Li Qiang, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will travel to China from Monday to Tuesday for the 30th regular meeting between heads of government of the two countries. The meeting is expected to further boost mutual trust, build consensus, and promote bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Li and Mishustin will review the progress of bilateral cooperation in various areas, map out cooperation for the next stage, and have in-depth exchanges of views on issues of common concern, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told a daily news conference on Friday.
The regular meetings between the prime ministers of China and Russia are an important mechanism for promoting the implementation of the consensuses reached by the two heads of state, and coordinating practical cooperation between the two sides, Guo said.
Next year, the two countries will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation Between China and Russia, as well as the 30th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership of coordination between the two sides.
Through this regular meeting, China looks forward to being a positive and productive force in the coordination of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Russia for a new era, Guo added.
