Innovation, openness set China on a steady course

        Zhao Zhongxiu, president of the University of International Business and Economics, told China Daily that sci-tech innovation must be a growth engine for China in the next five years, which is highlighted in the communique of the fourth plenum of 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. That means fixing weak links, building on strengths, and shaping a resilient, cutting-edge industrial system. With new quality productive forces and high-level opening-up, China aims to lay a solider foundation to basically achieve socialist modernization by 2035.
