Chinese streaming platform iQIYI premiered The Blooming Journey Season 2 on October 24. The travel-themed reality series continues to spotlight authentic female perspectives and personal storytelling.

This season features five acclaimed actresses from the Chinese entertainment industry — He Saifei, Carina Lau, Liu Xiaoqing, Ning Jing and Cecilia Cheung. They are joined by two young entertainers, Ke Chun and Shao Ziheng. Together, the group embarks on a journey of open exploration, sharing genuine, everyday experiences that celebrate individuality and self-expression.

Filmed across multiple destinations, including Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Chongqing, Quanzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao, the program offers audiences a panoramic view of China's diverse landscapes and cultures.

Departing from traditional task-driven competition formats, each episode centers on a distinct theme, encouraging reflection on collaboration, growth, and shared experiences.

According to iQIYI, the first season of The Blooming Journey achieved significant popularity, while the second season was highly anticipated ahead of its release, with more than a thousand trending topics on social media.

The show has also had a measurable impact on tourism. Lugu Lake in Yunnan province, featured in the first season, recorded a 42.93 percent year-on-year increase in visitors during the 2025 National Day holiday period, as many travelers were inspired to experience its scenery and Mosuo culture after watching the program.

The Blooming Journey is part of iQIYI's effort to expand its lineup of premium, IP-based entertainment, reflecting the company's strategy to diversify its content portfolio and promote creative storytelling.
