"Don't measure the mind of a noble man with the mean measure of a villain." Michael Crook, chairman of the International Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Industrial Cooperatives, says how some Western nations, haunted by their own history of cultural genocide, project their past onto China when talking about the boarding schools in the Xizang autonomous region. The world should come and see for itself, said Crook.
The remarks were made at the International Academic Seminar on Boarding Education and Plateau Development held by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
