Ratings and reviews

Starring Yu Hewei, Wu Yue, Wei Chen and Zeng Li, the Silent Honor has achieved record-breaking ratings, setting a new benchmark for Chinese spy dramas. It ranked second in annual CVB ratings on CCTV-8 and the Kuyun peak ratings, a testament to its popularity and critical success.

Audiences have expressed deep admiration for the series. "A tribute to a chapter of history I never knew," one viewer wrote. "To the lone struggle of the underground Communist Party in Taiwan, and to every predecessor who contributed to the liberation of the Chinese people."

The drama's impact has extended beyond the screen. The former residence of Wu Shi, located in Luozhou town, Cangshan district of Fuzhou city in Fujian province, has become a popular "red tourism" site. In Beijing, the Futian Cemetery, where Wu Shi and his wife Wang Bikui are buried, has seen an influx of visitors to lay flowers and pay their respects.
