On the sidelines of the 2nd World Conference on China Studies in Shanghai, Grzegorz W Kolodko, former deputy prime minister and finance minister of Poland, said in an exclusive interview with China Daily that "most of what you hear in Poland about China now, it is how great are Chinese pianists." He also mentioned that seven of the 20 pianists who advanced to the semifinals are from China in this year's Chopin Piano Competition.
