Located in the central section of the Yinshan Mountains, the reserve covers a total area of 388,900 hectares and represents a key forest ecosystem in northern China.
Serving as an ecological security barrier for the North China Plain, it is home to more than 1,200 higher plant species and over 2,000 species of wild animals.
Its inclusion in the global network is an international recognition of Daqing Mountain's environmental conservation achievements and China's broader efforts in building an ecological civilization. Daqing Mountain will serve as a channel for sharing China's ecological governance wisdom and solutions with the world.
