The BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution 2025 will take place on Sept 16-17 in Xiamen city, East China's Fujian province.

Focusing on unleashing the potential of international cooperation and on achieving inclusive and sustainable industrialization, preparations for the forum are nearly completed.

Since 2019, China has hosted the annual forum to strengthen the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership. Recognized as an official BRICS event since 2022, it serves as a crucial platform for policy exchanges, industrial collaborations and cooperative dialogues.

This year's forum stands out four key features:

Enhanced international participation

Invitations have been extended to BRICS member countries, partner nations and other developing countries and international organizations. Representatives from 34 countries, including Brazil, Russia, Ethiopia and Indonesia, have confirmed their attendance.

Showcasing China's contributions

The forum will present several public products provided by China to foster BRICS cooperation, including achievements from the five-year development of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center.

New participants in the International Cooperation Initiative on New Industrialization will be announced, along with the initiative's action plan for 2025-2026.

Fostering pragmatic cooperation

The forum will address the needs of BRICS and other developing countries, focusing on trends in digital, green and intelligent industrial development.

High-level dialogues will include keynote speeches and roundtable discussions on innovation-driven industrialization, green and low-carbon sustainable industrialization and on AI-enabled new industrialization.

Rich array of events

A variety of activities will accompany the forum, including the BRICS Industrial Innovation Competition awards ceremony and the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Exhibition.

Fujian and Xiamen will also host a number of industry matchmaking events to enhance collaboration.
