'Superman' has Chinese fans flying into a frenzy

One of the most high-profile Hollywood blockbusters of the summer, Superman, was released across the Chinese mainland on July 11, which has die-hard fans flying into a frenzy.
The film stars American actor David Corenswet as the iconic superhero. It follows Superman's journey to reconcile his heritage as the Kryptonian Kal-El with his human upbringing as journalist Clark Kent from Kansas — and his selfless determination to use his powers for good, to protect humanity.
The film held its premiere in Beijing on July 10 and was attended by director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran, co-CEOs of DC Studios.
