Since Wednesday, the middle and northern parts of Hunan have seen heavy rainfall for continuous days.

A total of 81,500 relief items, including tents, folding beds, summer quilts and mattresses, were allocated to Hunan on Saturday to support local authorities in emergency relocation and ensure basic living conditions for affected residents, according to the Ministry of Emergency Management.
The Hunan Meteorological Bureau issued an orange rainstorm alert at 4 pm, warning of torrential downpours in central and northern Hunan from 8 pm Saturday to 8 pm Sunday.
China has a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most severe, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
