Over the past seven years, an ecological expert from the Chinese Academy of Sciences has been working with students from across the country who have a passion for scientific knowledge.
In the rural area of Guang'an city, Sichuan province, they have constructed an "ecological town" featuring a kitchen waste treatment system that can convert organic waste into poultry feed, eco-friendly toilets that save water and ecological ponds that can measure and purify water quality.
Through hands-on practice, the seeds of scientific pursuit are germinating. Many students who have participated in the "Tech Girls" project have chosen relevant majors and embarked on the path of scientific research.
