At the dragon boat classes of the East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai, students practice rowing on the campus's Tonghai Lake, learning both dragon boat techniques and competition rules. As a traditional Chinese water sport with about 2,500 years of history, dragon boating has been an integral part of Dragon Boat Festival celebrations. The university has incorporated dragon boating into its physical education curriculum, which has been well-received by students.
