A makeshift hospital in Beijing's Yanqing districts has begun to receive asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19 and patients with mild symptoms.
The hospital, which entered service on Wednesday night, has received six patients, all from Yanqing, said Gou Jingming, an official with the district's health commission.
Gou said the hospital has 200 beds and is equipped with mobile facilities for medical purposes, including CT scanning and nucleic acid testing.
Another makeshift hospital located at the China International Exhibition Center in the capital's Shunyi district was also launched earlier this week to receive patients with mild symptoms.
