The city's top epidemic control and prevention work group held a meeting presided over by Beijing Party Secretary Cai Qi on Thursday morning, stressing that the related department should accelerate the epidemiological investigation to avoid virus spreading.
Several residential communities in Beijing's Changping and Chaoyang districts were locked down temporarily on Thursday morning due to an abnormal nucleic acid testing result.
Starting on Thursday afternoon, all the entertainment places, internet cafes, underground gyms and sports facilities in Chaoyang district should suspended operation in order to avoid infection risks, announced by the district government.
According to Xicheng district on Thursday morning, residents who have been to certain pubs since June 6 should report to their residential communities or health authority and stay at home for further information.
