A CPC official said on Friday that it is undemocratic to measure different political systems in the world using "a single ruler" and to look at mankind's different political civilizations from "a monotonous perspective".
Jiang Jinquan, director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, said at a news conference that only a country's own people have the most say in its democracy and a country's democracy should not be judged by a few people from outside the country.
The democracy summit to be held by the United States is a farce in the face of the growing pile of democratic issues in some Western countries, Jiang said, adding that its attempt to divide the world into two or several groups will not succeed.
