Inner Mongolia confirms 1 new COVID-19 case linked to logistics park

Inner Mongolia autonomous region reported one new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case on Thursday, according to the region's health commission.
The patient is a worker at the Huitong logistics park in Ereenhot, Xilin Gol League.
On Tuesday, the logistics park staff under closed-loop management did routine nucleic acid testing on alternate days. A sample of one group came out positive. On Wednesday, all 32 individuals got tested again, with the results showing one person was positive and the other 31 were negative.
The disease control and prevention center of Xilin Gol League confirmed the positive result on Wednesday afternoon, and the patient was then diagnosed with COVID-19.
At present, the patient is under treatment in isolation at a designated hospital. The epidemiological investigation and environmental disinfection related to the patient are in progress.
Meanwhile, the city's COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters announced on Thursday that nucleic acid testing covering all residents in Ereenhot will be launched at 12 pm and the first round of testing is expected to be completed within 12 hours.
