The Chongqing Women's Half Marathon 2020 kicked off on Sunday on Nanbin Road in Southwest China's Chongqing .
The event attracted about 4,800 participants, including 3,000 for the half marathon, 900 for the 10km run and 900 for the 5-km mini run.
Considering epidemic prevention and control, only Chongqing local female athletes or residents who have lived in Chongqing in the past 183 days were allowed to sign up for this year's event.
A large number of marathons were delayed or canceled this year due to COVID-19. Under these special circumstances, the sponsor formulated a rigorous plan for epidemic prevention and control and successfully held the race.
