Kindergarten principal fired after school pole dancing performance

The education bureau of Bao'an district in Shenzhen has announced that the principal at the center of a recent kindergarten scandal has been fired, according to a report by China Legal Daily.
A video widely shared online shows a pole dancer performing at a ceremony to mark the start of the new semester at Xinshahui Kindergarten on Monday. Many of the parents have complained that the performance was not suitable for children.
"…The kindergarten principal gave a speech introducing a dance training institution, followed by four or five dance performances… One was pole dancing, and another was a larger modern dance performance. The dancers were dressed in shorts… and they undressed and threw their clothes away during the performance," said Huang Xinghua, one of the parents at the ceremony.
After the incident, the principal acknowledged that the performance was inappropriate, and apologized to the parents and their children.
